On October 26, 2024, I had the absolute honor of providing DJ entertainment for Caroline and Ryan’s unforgettable wedding at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden in Oakdale, PA. From the very first meeting with them, it was crystal clear how deeply they loved each other and how excited they were to celebrate their big day. They had one goal in mind: to throw a RAGER of a party that everyone would remember for years to come.

Caroline and Ryan’s enthusiasm was infectious. When I shared with them that their wedding would be my final one of the 2024 season, they looked at me and said, “Let’s make it one to remember then.” And let me tell you, they delivered on that promise in every way imaginable. The Venue

The Pittsburgh Botanic Garden was the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, the venue’s charm added an extra layer of magic to the event. From the ceremony to the reception, every detail was thoughtfully planned to create an unforgettable experience for their guests. We also got to work with one of our FAVORITE wedding planners, Joyful Events by Jade, who nailed every detail of the big day.

Services Provided

To ensure Caroline and Ryan’s vision came to life, we pulled out all the stops with our comprehensive entertainment package:

DJ & MC Services: Featuring our sleek new DJ booth, which added a modern and stylish touch to the setup. Also included intelligent lighting to really set the party off when it was time to dance.
Full Room Decor Uplighting: The incandescent colored uplighting transformed the venue into a vibrant, elegant space that set the mood for a night of celebration.
Ceremony PA and Music Playback: Every guest could hear the heartfelt vows and enjoy the beautiful ceremony music. We provided microphones for the officiant, readers, and for Caroline and Ryan’s personally written vows.
Additional Sound System for the Dinner Area: This ensured seamless audio coverage, so the atmosphere stayed lively and engaging throughout dinner.

The Party

The reception was electric from start to finish. Guests packed the dance floor all night long, fueled by an epic playlist tailored to Caroline and Ryan’s taste. From timeless classics to the latest hits, every track kept the energy high and the vibes immaculate. Seeing everyone—young and old—dancing together was a testament to the love and joy that Caroline and Ryan radiated.

By the end of the night, it was clear that their wedding wasn’t just a celebration—it was an experience. I’m beyond grateful to have been a part of their special day and to have ended my 2024 wedding season on such an incredible high note.

Caroline and Ryan ended their wedding reception with a private last dance.

Final Thoughts

Caroline and Ryan, thank you for trusting me to help bring your vision to life. Your wedding was everything you dreamed of and more, and I’ll always remember it as a highlight of the year. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and epic dance parties! Cheers!

We’re Excited to Announce that We’re Rebranding

We’re excited to announce that as of October 2019, we’re rebranding. DJ Jason Rullo has previously operated under the brand “Jammin’ Entertainment”. As part of our rebranding strategy, our company name will change Jammin’ Entertainment to just “DJ Jason Rullo” and doing business as “Rullo Productions”.

This name change is part of our strategy targeted to emphasize the strength of our capabilities, our growth, to better align with the level of service we provide and commitment to helping our current and future clients have the most amazing events ever!

After some in-depth research, market analysis, and talking with some of our clients, we felt the rebranding of our services company will enable us to expand upon our services, accomplish local growth, and better align with the modern entertainment service we love to offer and clients we love working with.

You’ll start to see changes to our online planning system, website, and social media profiles.

As we start this process, we’d like to take some time and thank our clients and future ones for believing in the services we provide!

Night To Shine 2019

Last weekend was Night To Shine 2019

Honored to be a part of A Night to Shine again for the 4th year in a row! Sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older.

On one night, February 9, 2019, which was the event\’s 5th anniversary, more than 655 churches from around the world came together to host Night to Shine for approximately 100,000 honored guests through the support of 200,000 volunteers! We & Pittsburgh All-Stars Event Services were a part of the one here in Pittsburgh, PA for the 4th year in a row.

We team up with The Bible Chapel in the South Hills for this event each year and they host the Pittsburgh Night To Shine at their HUGE facility. They have a wonderful special needs outreach program to which Night To Shine is tied closely with. The number of attendees for Night To Shine continues to grow each year and its wonderful to see that happening.

Night to Shine 2019 Pittsburgh Recap Video

Honored guests received royal treatment consisting of donated tuxedo\’s, dresses, hair and makeup, shoe shining, limo rides, and red carpet treatment with paparazzi cheering them on as they arrive. Each guest was paired with a volunteer “buddy” so their families and caretakers could enjoy the amenities of a respite room or watch their loved one arrive in a limo for the walk along the red carpet.

Like past years, we donated our DJ/MC, Karaoke, and Photo Booth Services across several different rooms at The Bible Chapel. My self and Bryan Hoover provided DJ/MC Services in the main room, DJ Ed Lorenc provided Karaoke in the lower level, and our Photo Booth via Pittsburgh All-Stars Event Services was a big hit as always. This event is by far one of my favorite to donate services for. Through donations and the help of 675 volunteers, The Bible Chapel was able to provide guests with a night they will never forget. A huge number of of local businesses donated their goods or services to help make this event possible. Chik Fil-A provided the official meal for the 800+ guests & buddies.

Heinz History Center Wedding-Anthony & Sarah

Heinz History Center Wedding

On June 9th, 2018, I was honored to provide the DJ/MC and Lighting services for Anthony and Sarah’s beautiful wedding reception at Heinz History Center’s Mueller Center.

The room decor featured blush pink, and gold accents. Beautiful To add to the beautiful decor that they had already picked out for the venue, I provided Blush Pink uplighting all around the room and projected a custom monogram on the far wall. The place looked stunning!

Check out some photos I captured below of the room and of Anthony & Sarah’s First Dance as husband and wife. Their First Dance song was “How would you feel” by Ed Sheeran. This is the first time I had clients choose this song and let me tell you, its absolutely beautiful.

The 5th floor Mueller Center at the Heinz History Center is a beautifully appointed, traditional ballroom featuring a wall of windows and a 15′ x 135′ outdoor deck with a view of the river directly in front and a view of the city to the left. The sunsets seen from the deck are just spectacular.

Sarah, Anthony, Family, and friends danced the night away with a mixture of classics and EDM with a hint of Top 40 music the rest of the evening!

Featuring Live Musicians-Scott and Rosanna

In 2016, I had the honor of working along side of Scott and Rosanna. They performed during dinner hour at a wedding reception at Bell\’s Banquets in Mount Pleasant, PA.

I really, REALLY, enjoyed their work. Aside from playing at various locations around Pittsburgh, they also perform live during Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions.

So, I am excited to announce we joined forces to offer combo DJ and Live Entertainment services for Wedding Receptions. For example, instead of having our DJ services playing music during your cocktail hour or dinner, we would have Scott and Rosanna perform.

Here\’s a little more about them.

Singer/songwriter duo Scott and Rosanna formed in late 2012 in Pittsburgh, PA. The two met playing in their college jazz band and quickly began a musical relationship as well as a romantic one. Scott’s free spirited playing paired with Rosanna’s raw, soulful voice are elevated through the use of percussive and vocal looping.

Extremely humbled and honored to be a part of a #NightToShine for the Tim Tebow Foundation on 2-10-2017! It is such an amazing event for those with special needs.

Me and my partner company Pittsburgh All-Stars Event Services donated DJ, Lighting, Photo Booth, and Karaoke Services. This even was held at the Bible Chapel in South Hills. This is our second year participating in this event. The staff and volunteers at the Bible Chapel are just amazing. Thanks for having us!

Wedding Venue Do’s and Do nots

Many couples often overlook the importance of laying out a comfortable, sensible reception space, and just assume that venue managers have their best interests in mind. However, that’s not always the case! Read our Reception Venue Layout do’s and do nots!

Throughout the planning process with your wedding venue, it’s not only important to discuss general layout & decor items that you hold with high importance, but also take time to review the exact floor plan, and look for any abnormalities that may obstruct a smooth-flowing celebration.

Here’s a short list of Reception Venue Layout Do’s & Don’ts:

Venue Layout DO’s

Keep, at least, two main traffic patterns.
Keep the Bridal Party table as centered as possible.
Place your dance floor in the middle of the room.
Keep draws like Photo Booths & Candy Tables in the main room.
Always opt for a smaller dance floor, rather than a larger one (dance floors that are too big make people feel like they are in the spotlight, resulting in hesitation to dance).
Place the gift table near the entrance (not in the far corner).
Position your cake table away from the main traffic pattern.

Venue Layout DONT’s

Don’t place elderly guests near the DJ system.
Don’t put the BAR outside of the main room.
Don’t create a lounge space outside of the room.
Don’t pick a reception venue where tables will be overcrowded (instead, look for a larger space)
Don’t ever place your DJ/Band in the corner of the room, farthest from the dance floor.
Don’t place guest tables between the sound system & dance floor.
Don’t position guest tables too close to each other (keep them close, but comfortable).
